WASHINGTON (AP) — Not only do more Americans have health insurance, but the number struggling with medical costs has dropped since President Barack Obama’s health care law expanded coverage, according to a study released Thursday.

The Commonwealth Fund’s biennial health insurance survey found that the share of U.S. adults who did not get needed care because of cost dropped from 43 percent in 2012 to 36 percent last year, as the health care law’s main coverage expansion went into full swing.

The proportion of people who got treatment but had problems paying their bills also dropped, from 41 percent in 2012 to 35 percent last year.

I will admit with subsidies is it possible that there are now fewer people who do not have access to health insurance (health CARE being another issue entirely) however everyone I know who was already paying for health insurance has seen costs increase since obamacare. I say that Obamacare has created a good deal more “struggle” for everyone I know.

I have no idea “who” runs AARP. But I don’t see how most of it’s members are on board for obamacare.

Yea sure; “Bronze” Obama subsidized plans with $5,000 deductibles make medical care really “cheap” don’t they? NO!!! And the idiots wonder why the rest of the 40 million “uninsured” have not signed up.

I can see why AARP backed it. If you are in the premium subsidy range, the subsidies are bigger the older you become. Someone in their 60's can pay next to nothing in premiums if they can manage their cash flow. A couple aged 60 or so outside of subsidy range might have pay $15K a year in premiums for a silver plan. That same couple can get a silver plan for under $6K a year if they get their income to just below 400% FPL.

What would one expect from a bunch of cowering Obama lickspittles? The AARP will reap a cool $1 billion over the next 10 years shilling Medigap policies. They supported Obama because they knew there was money in it for them and to hell with those who were happy with their HMOs. Judas is alive and well and a member of AARP.

How right you are.

The spinola from the Marxist AP regime say fewer people are paying more for healthcare, but they neglected to mention the percent of those paying less conveniently coincides with the increase in Medicaid enrollments.

Increasing socialist welfare healthcare does not equal lower payments for the remaining 85% of the enrollees nor loss of care for Medicare recipients.

“We lowered payments for the 15% but increased the rest by 50%. Therefore everyone is paying less!” Pure fodder for the idiot masses.

Or, a better analogy is “I bought a Prius hybrid to save me money.”
