Can a GOP primary loser still run third-party?

Lisa Murkowski did that in the Alaska Senate race some years back. Remember that? She ran as an Independent after losing the Republican primary. She won, too.

Here are the facts. She was getting sued a lot. She didn’t feel she could afford to defend herself. So she quit.

When Gov Palin announces, I expect Cruz to withdraw from the race

Ted Cruz is already hard at work, building his team for a 2016 run. He's been doing so for quite some time.

Sarah, on the other hand, has only recently dropped a hint or two that she might be "interested" in running. Methinks that if she were truly serious about getting into it this time, she would have already been building her team and her grass roots network.

Frankly, I don't see Sarah stepping in, knowing that she'll split the conservative TEApublican vote, thereby helping the RINOs to carry the day again.

Of course I voted for Romney. Who else would I have voted for. Was he perfect? No. Was he better than the guy in there now? Infinitely.

Did you sit out the last election? If so you have NOTHING to complain about.

And this crap about the “Hard Freeper Left” is laughable. Sarah Palin is not a viable Presidential Candidate. You could bay at the moon and stomp your feet all you want, but she will never be President.

Go ahead, bookmark this. If I am ever proven wrong I will happily acknowledge it. But I won’t be.

She brought real life and purpose to not just “a morbid campaign”, but to a campaign that was dead and maggot infested, like the rest of the Rino party.

Damn; that’s the same reason I voted for the Arizona temper tantrum boy; I was hoping he would get elected, then have a massive stroke 2 days after inauguration day and I would wind up with a president that was a true American.

When I vote for Palin this time it will be the third time. The last time it was a write-in ballot. I hope this time will have her as a major party candidate.

And the best part is that you have absolutely no sense of self awareness, how elections work, irony or hypocrisy. Talk about denial of reality. Sheesh...

Like I said -- Cliff Notes version of the facts, but that's an insult to Cliff Notes. Yours is more like an Archie Comic Book version of the facts.

Who was suing her?

And why?

Facts is facts.

I still believe that a true conservative with a genuine conservative msg and platform can win a national election.

Amen. Me too. If the Republican party wants to be a winner's party, then it will have the courage of its convictions, the confidence of its goal.

For me, a "true conservative" is a Christian limited government conservative who stands by Christian morality (the moral creed on which this nation was expressly founded) and who seeks to make government conservative, as in MUCH LESS of it, to give people the freedom to LIVE MORALLY and prosper in a free market, where it behooves people financially to treat each other in a Christian manner! A conservative wants to use as little government as possible and trusts the goodness of American people to do right. A conservatives trusts in the overall righteousness of Americans and respects their rights to self-determination. I absolutely believe such a candidate could and WOULD win, may I even go so far as to say WILL win, God willing.

On the other hand, a "conservative" labeled such only because of being anti abortion and pro-Christian values, but who otherwise sees a major role for government oversight of how we live those values -- I believe that candidate would lose, because that candidate is in fact a liberal mislabeled "conservative" because "conservative" is being used as code for "Christian."

I am a Christian, I am also a conservative, and I am leery of code-speak. That's one of the reasons Rick Santorum raised so many red flags -- what are "family values," exactly? Aren't they the same as "Christian values"? And if so, why not just say "Christian values"?

Liberals are liberal and free-handed in their use of government -- that's the problem. They're liberals, wanting to do good for everybody else by using government. They're liberal with the use of government.

Conservatives were drawn to Reagan because he laid it flat on the line: "Government isn't the solution," he said. "Government is the problem!"

Conservatives I will vote for are those who embrace the legitimacy of Christian values as the foundation for this nation, and who will always and only seek to use government as conservatively as possible, to use sparingly.

Liberals have contempt for Americans; they think Americans need government oversight in all areas of their lives, from health care to their kids' education, because without it, Americans would be no good, there's just no telling what they'd do with no Government Daddy overseeing them! That is how little respect liberals have for Americans.

Limited government Conservatives have RESPECT for Americans. They have enough confidence in the overriding goodness and rightness of the American people to take care of themselves, with government SOLELY as a SERVANT to them in creating a United States.

Liberal use of government has turned the servant into a tyrant. CONSERVATIVE use of government will eliminate the tyrant and make it a servant again.

That's good -- I hope that if someone like Cruz or Palin ran and lost in the Republican primary in 2016 and a Romney or Bush gets it, someone like Cruz or Palin can TURN RIGHT AROUND and say, "Okay, I'm running independent."

Because I'm expecting the GOP to do the same thing it did in '08 and'12 with regard to the presidential nominee, and IF that happens, a truly charismatic 3rd party challenge would be the ONLY way voters could turn things to the right.

I am praying for a charismatic limited government Christian conservative to run third party!

Can you handle the truth? Because that's the ONLY THING you'll be reading in this post.

How about owning what voted FOR, bigdaddy45?

What would you have gotten if you had won?

Don't tell me about what wouldn't have happened. Not one word! Tell me about what would be happening today, right now, starting year three with a Republican president who:

1. Believes in global warming, the same as the Democrats.

2. Believes the government has a right and responsibility to force people, businesses, employers, everyone, to accept open homosexuals in all aspects of their lives, from the military to adoption agencies, the same as Democrats.

3. Believes in the "right" of all American females to have an abortion, even ones under the age of 18 (do your due diligence, please -- do your own homework to find out what you voted FOR and to understand why Norm and I and MILLIONS of other lifelong Republicans told Romney to go to hell and rightly in 2016).

4. Believes that Americans have to have complete government oversight and control over how they as individuals or businesses deal with doctors, health care, and health insurance, just like Democrats.

5. Believes that left-leaning activist judges are a good thing (he appointed enough of them as governor -- DO YOUR HOMEWORK, bigdaddy45, that's what you voted FOR, so OWN IT.)

6. Is pro-gun control.

7. Is pro-amnesty.

Right now, January 25, 2015, if your guy (if you voted for him he was "your guy," admit it, even if you held your nose) had won, OBAMA WOULD BE LONG FORGOTTEN.

Instead, we conservatives would be WEAKER in the Republican party, the November elections would have very probably given more seats to DEMOCRATS, and government tyranny would be growing WITH THE WILLING HELP OF A REPUBLICAN WHITE HOUSE.

That is what you voted for when you voted for Romney.

OWN IT.

And you didn’t vote for him. Therefore, you basically voted for Obama. SO OWN IT. He’s clearly your guy. Hope you’re happy.
