I found this good anime site - free good selection of subbed, dubbed including some good high resolution videos too!

Here is the sub title Yamato 2199 - just saw that for the first time last week ... very good!

Yamato 2199 is a VERY good remake of the original Star Blazers. One of the rare anime that’s super high quality and quite adult in content with an ongoing story. It’s true to the roots, follows the original story, the characters look and sound the same, but it’s animated at professional near-movie quality levels in 1080p with superb sound.

They even stick to using the original music and sound effects, but redone in a modern studio.

It’s blatantly made from the ground up to appeal to us middle age adults who watched the very roughly animated original as kids. I could not resist watching it since I was so addicted to it when I was very young.

Frankly, it’s good and episodic in a classic Star Trek way. Great stuff if you love science fiction.

It is completely unbelievable they remade the original in such high quality and detail considering that it must have been a near impossible sell from a marketing standpoint to current young audiences. Someone must have had a lot of pull and money to get this done.

There are other versions of this already that are live-action. Avoid them like the plague, they are terrible.

I will watch it later.

Loved Star Blazers and Robotech and still do.

Robotech has so much, a single movie just couldn’t work in my opinion but am looking forward to more.

Thanks for the link.

I’ve been enjoying them, like Lay’s potato chips. I got to episode 3 before being subjected to arts and culture downtown.

My local station that ran it had it on a 230 or 3 before school let out. Summer was the only time I got to watch it.

Robotech was a happy accidental discovery. I had an old black and white TV which was a hand me down. It could pick up stuff that the main one with the big external antenna couldn’t.

It was weak and grainy but old WAXA 40 ran Robotech after school.

I finished the whole run that was there. A very good remake. I am glad that the captain and Sanada got more screen time. The information officer and the pilot from accounting were nice additions.
