Former number one Tiger Woods believes he is in the right shape to win a 15th major as he declared himself ready for the Masters, which begins on Thursday.

Woods, who is now world 111, has been working on his game since carding a career-worst score of 82 at the Phoenix Open, before injury saw him withdraw from the Farmers Insurance Open.

Thanks! Been watching the Masters coverage - Tiger looks like he’s having fun - loose and relaxed.

Never. Gonna. Happen.

He may, at some point down the road, win another tournament. But he'll never win another major. He's done.

He was a good guy, until he screwed up and it was made public. I admired the way he politely refused Clintbilly many opportunities for photo ops in the early years. Few celebrities did so at that time.

My club already has a pool on Round and Hole he drops out on. I took 2nd Round Hole 13. Azalea. Par 5. 510 yards.

Tiger has always played 13 quite well. The par-5 15th? He’s had his problems there, including an illegal drop that was viewed not only his playing partner Paul Casey, but the entire world. Paul Casey should have been fined, too, for not holding Tiger’s feet to the fire, imo.

Bubba Watson, Kuchar, Woods or Adam Scott. Phil Mickelson is always formidable, but I don’t know his health status at the moment.

Not necessarily a Tiger fan but a keen observer of the game.

If you chose one single golf course on Planet Earth that is a horrible mismatch for a player with a dodgy short game, it would be Augusta National GC.

Everything about the course is steep or on a hillside. The greens were never designed to be rolling 14 on the Stimpmeter given their contours and inclines but with the modern power game it’s the course’s only defense. The greens committee struggle every year to find a mere four hole locations on (mostly) large greens where the ball won’t roll away due to gravity.

Combine that with tightly-mown areas everywhere around the greens and you have a nightmare scenario for someone who isn’t chipping and putting with a deft touch.

He may win one or more tournaments. He may even win another major despite the mountain evidence to the contrary. But it’s difficult to see him even competing at this venue.

Most of his limitations are physical. He began playing golf at age 3. He is an old 39, and we will continuing seeing this over and over with each successive tournament. The younger players are incredibly gifted and athletic, and he will not be able to compete with them.

My hubby said doubts will even make the cut.

He does look relaxed though and not all tense like he usually does..who knows!
