The Navy has removed the commander of a San Diego-based guided-missile cruiser from his post, citing a loss of confidence in his ability to command.
The Navy on Tuesday announced the removal of Capt. John Banigan, saying the action was based on findings of an investigation into the poor command climate aboard the USS Lake Erie.

The “poor command climate” I suppose has NOTHING to do with the fact that the CIC is a moron.
He wouldn’t swear fealty to Mr. Obama and the gay crusade?
Probably refused to allow a homosexual sailor to come on duty in drag.
In todays climate he could be merely less than queer friendly which would be more than sufficient to relieve him.

Not a lousy skipper. He had previous tours as captain of an Aegis class destroyer and executive office of the cruiser he was dismissed from. More likely not following the PC line coming out of the Defense Dept. these days.
