To my recollection, Patton didn’t fear the Chinese - or anyone for that matter.

Well, here it goes. Patton was statistical anomaly. Compared to Patton, Trump is a nobody.

But compared to Bush or the rest of the GOPe, Trump is Patton. Like it or not, that's the way many folks are seeing it.

I’m off to Mass also..I will pray for you..as it is sacrilegious to use Reagan and Patton in the same sentence with Trump... “The Donald” is a narcissistic buffoon.....likely with sociopathic tendencies..and it is absolutely frightening that so many here are willing to overlook his decades of support for Democrats and liberal programs..hell, man, he once told Tim Russert on MTP that he was “OK with partial birth abortion”...just because he raises the issue of illegal immigration? give him all due credit for doing so, and helping to shape the discussion..but there’s simply no there, there..We’re just supposed to believe him, to trust him,..that “now he gets it?” This after he advocated for Obamacare, big taxes on the wealthy...etc...with all due respect..you’re all delusional..
He is more Batman, literally. He is not afraid and knows he will be excoriated by his enemies. Good for him.
That it is. Amusing, fascinating, entertaining...some might even say inspiring.
And for what it's worth, I think there's a 20% chance that Trump is running some sort of scam for his own benefit. But that leaves an 80% chance that he really means what he says. And since I'm desperate for bold change in this country, as of now I'm going with the odds and supporting Trump.
Patton’s accomplishments dwarf Trump’s. However, they have something in common. They are both like a bull in a china shop.
We needed that in WWII and we need it now.
And while Patton was an outstanding General, he was a horrible public administrator. Even before political correctness he would get in trouble for saying outrageous things.
We need Pattons. We also need Eisenhowers. They each have their roles.
Compared to the rest of the field, pee-wee Herman is a giant.
Maybe not Cruz. But the rest of the JV are pretty sad.

I have read many books on General Patton and I don’t recall the Chinese ever being brought up at all.
But he did want to go kill “purple pissin’ Japanese”.
