Washington (CNN)—A new CNN/ORC poll finds that although misperceptions about Barack Obama's religious beliefs and background persist, they are not as widespread as some recent polling has suggested. Obama was born in Hawaii and is a Christian.
Overall, when asked "where was Obama born, as far as you know?" 80% of adults say they believe Obama was born in the United States, while 20% said that he was born outside the country. And just 9% of those who think he was born elsewhere believe there is solid evidence of that; the other 11% say it is just their suspicion.
Misperceptions about Obama's religious beliefs are more common than those about his birth, particularly among Republicans. Overall, 29% of Americans say they think the President is a Muslim, including 43% of Republicans.

I don’t know where he was born, but his actions are those of someone who hates this country..
I believe he was born in Hawaii, although I believe that Barak Obama was not listed as his father on the original birth certificate.
I also believe he is an atheist. He will pretend to be whatever people want him to be in order to advance himself. I believe he likes Islam more than Christianity and feels more affinity towards it.
One persons misperceptions are another perceptions. The dishonest hobo was born in kenya and was raised a moozlum.
Only 29 % think he’s Muslim? So 71 % are reallly that stupid, the poll was rigged, or CNN is lying and covering for the president.

These days, with all of the lying going on by politicians, I don’t put much stock in what someone says. I watch what they do. IMHO, someone who is really an American Christian would never have done to America and Americans what Obama has done to us.

His natural affinities do tend to favor muslims and islam; that says a lot.

A 1991 promotional literary pamphlet featured a short biographical sketch of Obama, and claimed he was “born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.”
What is his actual name? The only publicly available school record for Obama lists him as an Indonesian citizen named Barry Soetoro.
CNN can twist the facts any way they want, but we the American People have the TRUTH!!!
