Prescription pills are Britain’s third biggest killer:

Side-effects of drugs taken for insomnia and anxiety kill thousands.
Why do doctors hand them out like Smarties?

Updated: 04:22 EST, 15 September 2015

Soaring drug use, a growing number of addicts, far too few clinics to treat them and a rising death toll. This might sound like a scene from an impoverished country run by drug cartels - but it is, in fact, the day-to-day reality for NHS patients who are prescribed psychiatric drugs to treat anxiety, insomnia and depression.

More than 80 million prescriptions for psychiatric drugs are written in the UK every year. Not only are these drugs often entirely unnecessary and ineffective, but they can also turn patients into addicts, cause crippling side-effects - and kill.

For instance, antipsychotics, commonly given to dementia patients to keep them quiet, raise the risk of heart disease, diabetes and stroke. Psychiatric drugs also make falls more likely, and breaking a hip can shorten life significantly, while some antidepressants are linked to a potentially deadly irregular heartbeat.

And the death toll from these pills has been grossly underestimated.

“More than 80 million prescriptions for psychiatric drugs are written in the UK every year.”

I’m sure there are numerous redundant scripts written, but holy crap...80 million?!

I’m thinking the first biggest killer is going to be ISIS people pretending to be “refugees”.

I wonder what the average age of people dying from these drugs happens to be?

More people die in this country every year from Rx drugs than from gunshots.

“Prescription pills are Britain’s third biggest killer”

Don’t worry - given the bunch now invading your continent, pills will become the 4th biggest killer, with beheadings surpassing it.

If their drugs don’t kill ya, their drug death squads will.

drugs should be widely available and should be legal...because, as we are lectured, drugs are victimless....

Much lower than the overall average, I think. Read “Anatomy of an Epidemic” by Robert Whittaker. That is about an epidemic of bodies poisoned with “psychotropic” (oh, yeah) drugs. Lots of suicides and death-by-cop.

Good point. There are certainly many people who hate “Big Pharm”. I guess I’ll have to do some research.

Over 200,000 Americans die from Prescription meds annually and that number is actually much higher...

To me the connections are clear

The Elites want population reduction to a manageable level of compliant citizens who do the work etc until they can automate more..

ObamaCare and the reduction of services for older folks is a not well hidden way of checking out, yourself or someone who is or will become a burden. Why not, they have been practicing for generations using Abortion...

Misinformation to a poorly educated constituency promotes dependence on the approved “sources” to tell us what we should be doing. Again, in Education the primary model is respond, not think...

Pendulum is swinging the other way and the house of Cards is crumbling fast, they are frantic to hold on...

Too Late!!
