You can't go wrong with a German Shepherd. Here are the three I've adopted from German shepherd Rescue of Orange County (gsroc.org), the rescue organization that Chrisinoc volunteers for. Max is almost a universal name for Sheperds.....in our (then) new neighborhood, three neighbors all had one - and, yes, they were all named Max.
