It's Whigham Elementary and Cutler Bay "contracts" out its policing with Miami Dade County PD, who are completely out of control under the current Mayor Carlo Giminez and his retarded token black Chief of Police J.D. Patterson

This is complete BS and the mayor is going to have get his Affirmative Action cretin Police Chief under control and make them start harassing criminals instead of soccer moms.

I happen to drive my grand daughter to school because the bus comes between 6:30 and 7:15 in the morning and I wait for her at the bus stop which is not visible from the house and it arrives between 3:40 and 4:15 PM. Also the bus packs them in three students to the seat. K - 12th grade.

The same was true for anyone who has ridden a bus to school in the last several decades.

You have your reasons, the next parent has their reasons, the result is what I described in my original post.

Just watched the video and the cop was out of line with excessive force. Also seems that it is idiots that made the no stopping/standing rule due to the congestion of the area for parents picking up their kids.

Thanks for pressing me on this - pictures told a little bit of a different story than the words did.

Yep, the common sense answer would be to provide a drop off pick up area with sufficient space for smooth traffic flow.

But it seems they care more about revenue than common sense.

There is a HUGE difference between responding to an emergency situation and considering oneself above the rules for the plebes. The key phrase in your diatribe is during the prosecution of their duties

Example #1: Police officer in a cruiser parked in a way that blocks a driveway in order to run a radar trap at the bottom of a hill. The owner of the home was written a ticket for having the audacity to tell the cop to move so the homeowner could get out!

Example #2: Police officer (different jurisdiction) parked on the wrong side of the street within 2 feet of the travelled portion of the road, once again running a radar trap at the bottom of a hill in a speed transition zone.

Example #3: Multiple police officers simultaneously parking their cruisers in a no stopping zone while on a break.

There are dozens more similar anecdotes that I and others can relate, but I think you get the drift.

The way I see it, those fellow citizens whom are entrusted with the enforcement of our laws are also beholden to them, and in fact should be more severely punished for breaching that trust when they abrogate their duties to the public. They should be MORE cognizant of any potential breach of any regulation they enforce.
