I started liking him in the early days in Columbus when I saw his quiet reaction and "y'all see what I have to deal with around here?" to a remark by a blowhard older white male co-anchor (florid puffy faced ... obvious boozer) just before Christmas. There was one of those local heart warming Christmas stories and then a cut back to the studio. Leon commented on the story saying "Why that makes me feel like Santa Claus". His co-anchor replied "Well Leon, you sure don't look like him." Bibb's slow take looking straight into the camera was priceless and worthy of Oliver Hardy.
