Celebrity programmer Eric S. Raymond has aired a theory that feminist activists are trying to find a way to lay false sexual assault claims against male leaders of the open source community.
Among his many blog posts, Raymond has also identified criticized contemporary feminism, called for the demilitarization of US police and argued against gun control.

How would the claim that Linus Torvalds engaged in retrogressive sexual behavior hurt his reputation?
Is he trying to get on the board of the Modern Language Association or get a job at National Public Radio?
Gamergate. SJWs are trying to cut out any possible improper/unacceptable in their opinion ideas, 1984/ministry of Truth style, at the source so they can never be spoken or presented to begin with.
They are fully communist and highly dangerous people.
Eric Raymond is a hoot! I traveled across town to hear him at a forum over 15 years ago. He weaves anthropology and software methodology together in a very interesting fashion. His essay “The Cathedral and the Bazaar” is a very good read from a political and software development viewpoint.
He has been at the forefront of the open source debates where he is firmly in the camp that says that software developers should be able to make money from their products. He is a strong open source advocate, but is concerned that some open source folks want to cast the role of the movement as an attack on corporate America.
As a Linux user, I have met a few of the 'ultimate consumers', pay for nothing, produce nothing.

They seem to overlook the second clause.

Technology is a two edged sword.
Seems that the advice is to follow Torvalds’ lead and take it one step further and not be alone with women, the implication being women to whom one is not married . Christian men have practiced this bit of wisdom for generations. Good to see that geeks are as smart as their press.

Torvalds is from Finland and maybe looking for extra warmth?
