NC [North Carolina] father killed for asking for a search warrant
Oath Keepers ^

Posted on 11/17/2015 10:03:43 PM PST by Altariel

In yet another tragic citizen shooting by police. This time a father was beat, tazed, maced and ultimately shot several times..for what crime you ask? For merely refusing to allow a deputy into his residence at 3:40 in the morning without a proper search warrant. Do our constitutional rights already mean nothing? It is beyond time to start holding these rouge officers responsible for their actions. In this and so many more just this month those actions look to be murder (at times even executions.) It is time for us to start demanding that the Sheriffs and Police Chiefs rein in their lose cannons and train them in Constitutional Rights, de-escalation and proper use of force. I will soon be posting a series of articles and interviews on this topic.

Here is the story according to WNCN:SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WNCN) – A dad was shot several times and died in an officer-involved shooting in Spring Lake Sunday morning, witnesses said.

The incident occurred just before 3:40 a.m. at a residence near the intersection of Stage Road and W. Everett Drive when deputies arrived on scene to conduct an assault investigation, the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police defense will be that they felt threatened by victim. What matters is feeling threatened, not whether the threat was real.

"A search warrant was applied for and executed at the residence on W. Everett Drive around six hours after the shooting."

If the citizen actually tased the officer it would mitigate in the officer’s favor; however, there still will be the issue of whether lethal force was justified.

Am I supposed to be lieve the dead guy:

1. shut his door and hit the cop’s foot and then gave permission to enter?

2. or gave permission to enter and then shut his door hitting the cop’s foot?

Basically that story is a lie so transparent that even a cop probably won’t get by with it. As for the fear for his life, since the taser is a NONLETHAL weapon by definition, it will be harder the cop to sustain any claim of fear for his life. Clearly only one person had to fear for his life in this incident.

As soon as the guy said "warrant" the officer should have withdrawn his jackboot from the citizen's door/4th.

Take jury duty seriously folks.

Yes. Shot in the back with his hands up, we know that’s what happened to the gentle giant.

These black lives matter comrade agenda sites always leave out info and distort.

And they can’t spell.

Hands up don’t shoot.

I read it carefully, and yes, it’s murder. The question is what are Americans going to do and when are they going to do it?

Guilty or innocent, I will point out this from the article:

“Livingston tried to slam the door shut while the deputy was still in the doorway, hitting Kehagais’ foot, according to the documents.”

Livingstone asked for a search warrant & there was none, so he attempted to close the door as his right. But the policeman had his foot inside the door jam. Isn’t that foot an illegal attempt to enter after permission denied?

“... still in the doorway”? Most visitors stand outside the door & wait to be invited in. How can you be struck by a door unless you are already in the door without permission, which is illegal (or should be) without a search warrant or probably cause?

Hang in there, all the FR police boot licking, cop loving members will be along to tell you how the cops have such a terrible job and how they are justified in what they do.
