Governors come and go. Pro-life people stay right where they are born, raised and work. I should know: there are plenty of people in my town who are part of the pro-life movement. I’ve worked with them on campaigns here and seen them off on trips to Washington to lobby politicians and attend pro-life rallies on the Mall.
Stop the snarky stuff about New Yorkers. There are plenty of decent people here - just because they don’t turn up on the 6 o’clock news doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
What is "snarky" about pointing out the words that reflect the values that win elections?

You’re are absolutely right, Miss Marmelstein.
But it’s also an indisputable fact, based on those you elect to govern you, and the laws you pass for your state, that the decent people in New York are in the minority.
On the whole, New York values are NOT conservative values. They are not values conducive to life and liberty.
And New York values should NOT become the value system of this precious country. On the contrary, it would be an improvement if things in New York changed for the more conservative better.
I know it hurts your feelings when this discussion happens and I’m truly sorry for you and the other decent New Yorkers — but what is, is.
