It doesn’t hurt the squirrel, which is why I find it so amusing. The launcher merely sends the animal a few yards through the air away from where it was launched.
Look at some of the other vids to see more versions of this concept, none of which are intended to harm the creature. Squirrels regularly jump quite far from tree to tree all the time. :)
Maybe - I suppose it is on the launcher - not getting whacked by the launcher. “Come on guys! A free snack AND a ride!”
