Trump and his "mafia" problem (Vanity)
Me | 2/28/2016 | GeorgiaDawg32

Posted on 02/28/2016 10:13:00 AM PST by GeorgiaDawg32

In a nutshell, Trump is a businessman, in New York. Even he needs concrete and windows and of course, his garbage needs to be picked up.

Anyone who has ever done anything in New York deals with the mob in one way or another, directly, or most probably, indirectly.

But there will NOT be a line item on his tax returns detailing it. Besides, releasing his tax return would unleash the hounds.

I worry about Trumps bluster and "seemingly" immature tactics. You have to admit though, they work. He has the GOPe scrambling and they don't know what to do. He has more free coverage from the media than any candidate EVAH! He cut Hitlary off at the knees when she started her "war on women" campaign and he has the backing of a large portion of America who is sick and tired of business as usual, yet every election they say, "We'll do it right this time, just re-elect us".

I just hope, IF he's the nominee, he starts acting like the statesman he'll be expected to be.

At the same time, Cruz is starting to look exceptionally desperate by lobbing an unsupported (and Harry Reid tactic) accusation of tax problems.

That said, I'm ok with either of them. Can't be any worse than the current occupant of the White House, and either of them would certainly be better than grandma or the old guy.

the ones with mafia ties are the clintons.

did you miss that?

any builder of any note would have had to deal with the mafia, especially in NYC.

hell, if you’re a mid sized retail business man in MA, you have to deal with the mafia to get your trash picked up.

Keep hoping, I doubt Trump will act as a statesman, he would have already be doing so. I read an article that goes back many years, in the article, the reporter mentioned Trump’s bullying, so if in all these years, he’s still a bully, it would probably just be worse if he were to be president. No less a bully than the current guy in the WH.

"First of all you're going to have to grease the local politicians for the sudden zoning problems that always come up."

"Then there's the kickbacks to the carpenters, and if you plan on using any cement in this building I'm sure the teamsters would like to have a little chat with ya, and that'll cost ya."

" Oh and don't forget a little something for the building inspectors. "

"Then there's long term costs such as waste disposal. I don't know if you're familiar with who runs that business but I assure you it's not the boyscouts."

Trump should not release his tax returns, they are almost as tall as I am stacked up.

We still don’t really know if the man in the White House is really Barry Soetoro, Indonesian citizen.

There’s nothing wrong with holding a presidential candidate to a higher level of transparency. The Dems will use the same attack, so Trump may as well take this opportunity to address it or practice arguing why he shouldn’t.

You either work with the gumbahs in NY, or you don’t build. Period. Move along, there’s no story here boys and girls.

Cruz put on his tinfoil hat, and accuses Trump of hiding his mafia connections in his tax return, what idiocy is that? He must have gotten that line of attack from his pal Glenn Beck. Next we’ll see Cruz adopting one of Beck’s favorite tactics, accuse anyone he disagrees with of being a “racist” or a “Nazi.”

AFAIK just about every construction trade in NYC has mob connections in one way or another. Been that way for a 100 years.

Probably the funniest but most honest assessment of how things really work. Trump should take that scene and run it in commercial.

Very well said sir, but sadly I must state I doubt he will suddenly have a rejuvenation of character to become someone I can be proud to call my president but then again few have. He is he’s always been a loud boisterous bully who might actually bully his way into the White House and we should all be ashamed of that.

I always find that particular comment amazing. I live in a large city in United States this city as part of a standard fee picks up the trash here there are dumpsters run by private firms as well 1 wonders why the City of New York is so special has have a permanent entitlement to the organized crime Enterprises within at for garbage collection. Maybe if some prominent one might even call them huge businessmen in the City of New York has rallied to produce a better system this would no longer be the case. But instead we have the system it’s there now. Dictated with Google Voice

I’d rather someone bully their way into the White House than the other ways they usually get into the White House...

A commission member said that Trump had made contributions through more than a dozen companies.

“Why aren’t these political contributions just made solely in your name?”

“Well, my attorneys basically said that this was the proper way of doing it,” Trump said.

Trump told the commission that he also provided financial help to candidates in another way. In June 1985, he guaranteed a $50,000 loan for Andrew Stein, a Democrat who was running to be New York’s City Council president.

Six months later, Trump paid off the loan.

“I was under the impression at the time it was made that I would be getting my money back,” Trump told the commission.

“And when were you disabused of that notion?”

“When it was time to get my money back,” Trump said.

Asked whether he considered such transactions as a “cost of doing business,” Trump was equivocal. “I personally don’t,” he said. “But I can see that some people might very well feel that way, sir.”

Stein told The Post he did not recall the loan, but he said developers were close to city officials at the time.

There is no bigger and more powerful mafia than Wall Street bankers...and Ted Cruz’s wife is one of them and he is backed by them.

I would say that Obama and Hellery have a HUGE “mafia” problem namely the IRS and the FBI.
