The Left’s Plan to Cut Loose a Million Prisoners
canadafreepress.com ^ | 3/18/2016 | Matthew Vadum

Radical left-wingers want to free half the nation’s prisoners—including many violent offenders—a move that would cause an upsurge in crime rates for decades to come.

To many of today’s leftists criminality itself is an illegitimate concept. The mindless chanting of the slogan “no one is illegal” at open-borders rallies is part of the same school of thought.

Spearheaded by the American Civil Liberties Union and bankrolled by radical speculator George Soros, the “end mass incarceration” movement wants to reduce the U.S. prison population by 50 percent within the next 10 to 15 years.

This specific push is called the “Cut50” project.

Well, they gotta swear that they'll behave. Uncle bernie is all for this. Guess he's looking for the prison vote. Other than that, this will probably work out just fine.

Hard to imagine anything more pernicious than putting a million criminals back on the street.

Pure evil.

Federal prisoners are a tiny amount compared to state incarceration a which unlike federal prisoners are not majority drug offenses

States cannot be forced to just release state inmates unless he legalize the crimes

Unlikely

I’m sure you’re right. The money could be better spent building, oh, wind mills or solar facilities. Right? LOL!

Sure, why not due it right before a Republican comes in office. Then the Left can blame the Republican administration for any rise in violent crimes. Hey, it worked well when they blamed Trump for the violence the Left brought to his rally, right?

And when crime skyrockets the leftists will blame “the availability of guns.”

LOL! Apparently neither are the gopE’s anymore. So far, according to realclearpolitics vote count in the primaries, the Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Kasich totals are 19+ million. The hildebeast/uncle bernie totals are 14+ million. So, come November, will any bernie voters go with Trump? How many cruz, rubio, kasich votes will to to Trump. Any? A lot? Third party? Will of the people, screw that. Will Trump even be the nominee? And they wonder why the natives are restless.

Sounds like somebody else wants to win the “Gun Salesman of the Year” award after Obama is gone.

That would just give them an excuse to expand and further militarize their enforcement entities, “for the children”.

The big picture: The prison guard union is powerful. They would not let this happen without howls of protest, because it threatens their power/income/influence. Why are there no howls of protest? Because those empty cells will be filled very quickly, with political prisoners - Read: you and me. The fix is in. By the way, this is a classic example of anarcho-tyranny: the selective enforcement of some laws while ignoring others, so as to keep the populace terrorized by street crime while at the same time giving common criminals a pass. The elites actually WANT crime to be at a certain level. It serves their agenda.

Disarm the populous and release prisoners en masse. What could go wrong.

When Kennedy was running in 1960 my mother, and everyone else in my little home town of 300 people, believed Kennedy was going to “make” everyone turn Catholic.

For every person in prison there are families who want that person released. And everyone of them will believe if they elect the right person their loved one will be released the next day. Just like the woman who thought Obama would pay her mortgage.

This “plan” will get the democrats a lot of votes.

And when the offenders offend again, the left will use that as an excuse to take guns from non-violent citizens.
