JERSEY CITY -- A traffic stop near the Holland Tunnel yesterday evening lead to the recovery of a shotgun and nearly 200 rounds of ammunition, a police spokesman said.
At about 6:30 p.m., a police officer saw a blue plastic drum in the back up a pickup truck that had just passed through the Holland Tunnel toll plaza. The officer stopped the vehicle driven by a Pennsylvanian man to make sure there were no hazardous materials in the drum, Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo said.
Police asked the driver Marlon Murphy, 45, of Easton, if there were any weapons in the back of his truck. Murphy told the officer there was a shotgun in the barrel, Pentangelo said.

I had more than that in my pushcart at the clays course today.
“Citizen, are you carrying anything of any value whatsoever that I could confiscate from you at this time? Weapons, ammunition, drugs, cash, jewels, precious metals, computer, audio or musical equipment, printers, books, copper wire, or anything else of that nature? Anything at all, and I can just take it. Welcome to New Jersey.”
I know its funny cause these liberals in the media think 200 rounds is a lot.
This guy was probably going out to long island and trap shoot or practice and forgot he had to cross through a communist country to get there
Here in Texas you’d get arrested if all you could produce during a traffic stop was 200 rounds and measly shotgun.

I know, I laughed when I read the story, I felt real sorry for the guy, now he has to get a lawyer and spend a pile of money over something that was no threat to anyone

In addition to the 200 rounds of ammunition, the man was also alleged to have had an entire pack of cigarettes AND was listening to Rush Limbaugh!
The ONLY reason for anyone to have TWO HUNDRED rounds of shotgun ammunition is to shoot TWO HUNDRED TIMES!
After readying the story, I just can’t figure out what law the guy broke?
I bet the fuel tank contained a highly flammable liquid too!!!! What a fn joke this country has become....
