Not a slam on Dobies, per se, I was just always under the impression that they are the least intelligent dog known, they are simply instinct-driven.

No, that would be Afghans and Irish Wolf Hounds. On the intelligence scale they were voted one notch above furniture. That sounds about right.

The ‘scoring’ for Sight Hounds has been declared invalid, because it’s comparing apples to oranges.

They are ‘primitive breeds’ who work alone, *without* the interference of humans.

As hunting dogs, you cannot beat them.

They do not have to be trained, like most hunter breeds do.

All of my Ibizans [ranked borderline retarded in IQ tests] were natural hunters, swiftly snatching their prey and returning it to my hand, with no training, whatsoever.

That is *not* “low intelligence”.
It’s simply ~different~ intelligence.
