I don’t have all the answers. But, it seems to me that nobody really considers that we are in a war with radical Islam.
Each terrorist attack is treated as a discrete, one off, unique criminal action, unrelated to any other such attacks.
And if the perpetrators survive, they are tried in the civilian criminal justice system, for what is regarded as a civil crime, not an act of war.
I thought Trump said something about declaring war on ISIS? Legally speaking, such a legal declaration would allow us to take actions which are not allowed if we continue to treat Muslim terrorists as civilian criminals.

Islam without any adjectives has been at war with the rest of the world since Mohammed established his land piracy business in Arabia. The war has been a major component of history in India, Africa, Europe and is spreading to the Americas. Western civilization is terminally decadent and refuses to recognizes its aspiring murderer. Hindus understand the threat. Russia understands. China understands. Americans and Europeans just want to get along in their own lifetimes and, having no concept of the Hereafter or of History don’t give a dam about their descendants. America will either succumb along with Europe or will suddenly awake in a spasm of nuclear defense and domestic massacre. By the time that happens there will not be much left to “save.”
