Savage points out that although the media is running w/ story that The Donald is endorsed by KKK, he NEVER sought out that endorsement.
He also pointed out that the Communist Party of the USA has endorsed Hillary Clinton. Quite frankly, CPUSA is more worrisome to me than the KKK, especially since the KKK, one of America's first domestic terrorism orgs, was founded by a Democrat delegate and formed Confederate States of America general.
Has the Communist Party USA Endorsed Hillary Clinton?

I recall election 1992 and the worry that the Clintons would bring Arkansas corruption to Washington, D.C.
google something like, jerry brown clinton arkansas corruption washington
and limit the search to 1992 and 1993.

Yep, the commies endorsed Obama, too.
I agree with Savage's comment earlier that those who are criticizing Trump for appealing to alt-right are hypocrites when they have no issues with groups like Black Lives Matter and La Raza endorsing Clinton.

The Klan was founded in 1866 Pulaski Tennessee, by James R. Crowe, Richard R. Reed, Calvin C. Jones, John C. Lester, Frank O. McCord John B. Kennedy
None of these gentleman to my knowledge served in the Confederate government or were Generals, in the army they were just former veterans the only General in the Klan was Nathan Forrest but he was not a founding member if you have any sources, or cautions by all means share also let’s you should also take note that the radical Republicans along with occupying Union forces did their fair share of terrorizing the South
