What happens if a team member doesn’t want to participate?
I love football, but I can find better things to do than watch it, guys.
It’s getting to the point where the NFL front office and the team managers are going to have to get together and nip this in the bud before it gets more out of hand than it already is.
The useless Commissioner has lost control of his league. It is spiraling out of control. He has the league’s top QB suspended for some BS air pressure rule and meanwhile the inmates are running the asylum - when they aren’t being brought up on domestic violence or murder charges.

Email the chips people, the beer people, the car people, the game people and the electronics people and tell them their support for anti-police millionaire protesters in the NFL will sour you on their products.
They apparently have no idea what a spontaneous fan revolt will do to their game. I will not sit through a game after my Country and I are insulted by ungrateful millionaires. And, if the NFL goes wobbly and does the Star Spangled Banner in advance of the player intro, they will have caved, and this veteran will find other activities.
Take the damned platform away from them. Play the anthem before the players take the field. What will they sit out then as protest, the game?
Oh, and anyone who tries this during 9/11 should drop dead. Yes, that’s a curse.
OK - If I am an NFL owner... I am going to order ALL announcers at ALL ball parks in the NFL to announce the following:
Ladies and Gentlemen if you love the United States of America and what our Republic stands for PLEASE STAND for the singing of our National Anthem, if you are a worthless POS crybaby just remain in your seat or do anything but stand.
Can't see Russell Wilson going along with this.
Strapping on explosive vests and self detonating during the Nation Anthem would be a surprise.
Maybe the FBI will give them a visit.

The NFL is the more popular than all the other pro US sports combined. The reason is the huge number of casual fans that watch the NFL. Look around at the state of popular culture, now look at the NFL’s product. It would be shocking if it wasn’t the most popular sport.
I wouldn’t be shocked if ratings go up just because of the free publicity this controversy generates for the NFL. They will only do something if ratings go down, and I don’t think your average casual fan cares enough about it to stop watching.

Any Patriot players that pull that crap will probably be cut. I could see a few other coaches ( Tomlin,Peyton,etc....) maybe do the same.
I would hope that coach Carroll would also not put up with this. I just don’t see Russell Wilson or Richard Sherman going along with it, and seriously hope I am not proven wrong.
They have ‘weaned’ me off Monday night football by putting that game on cable.
I think it would be easy to finish that job for the rest of the week.
So much for it being a big surprise.
