Clay official, mayor under fire for Facebook post about Michelle Obama

Pamela Ramsey Taylor, an employee of the Clay Development Corporation, referred to the first lady as an “ape in heels,” in a Facebook post. The mayor of Clay, Beverly Whaling, commented on the post soon after, saying “Just made my day Pam.” An online petition is calling for both women to be fired for the racist post and the comment. About 2,700 people had signed the petition as of late Monday morning.
