New footage released by Nasa shows exactly what it looks like to land on an alien world. It may seem like stuff of science fiction, but the scenes in the new video happened in real life, 12 years ago. The stunning video was captured when the space agency’s Huygens probe descended onto the mysterious world of Titan, Saturn’s biggest moon.

It took 12 years to release the video because NASA and the ESA had to photoshop the aliens.

No, they've been there all along. Titan is where they have their secret UFO base. I saw the "artist's conception" of it in the Weekly World News about 20 years ago.

Why didn’t they move the camera to show where the astronauts planted the flag?

“why did they take so long to release it?”

First, they had to go through the diversity hire process - 5 years.

Then they had to put the diversity hire though political reliability testing - 5 years.

Then they had to train up the politically reliable diversity hire to use the super secret NASA proprietary Photoshop software - 1 year.

Photoshoping of the pics and footage - done yesterday.

The little robot from Tralfalmadore wouldn't agree to terms, even though Kazak The Space Hound's agent had settled.

Direct link to the NASA recreation of the probe with real footage of the descent
Titan Touchdown

Likely was not released until the descent video frames had been triple checked for 'anomalies,' scrubbed and reassembled into a smooth presentation.

Stuff like this takes time, but in accordance with NASA's bizarre stellar alignment format release schedules announcements must be properly coordinated - which means, even if something is ready, the time is not right until certain alignments take place over the correct locations.
