FULL TITLE: Heroin town USA: Louisville is hit with 52 overdose cases in just 32 HOURS as opioid epidemic continues to ravage America
Louisville, Kentucky, has become the latest American city to have experienced an alarming cluster of heroin overdoses, with 52 drug-related emergency calls coming in during 32 hours last week.
According to Louisville Metro Emergency Services, it was more than double the number of overdose calls that came in during the same time period the previous week.
The agency said the 911 calls started coming in at around midnight on Thursday and continued through 8am on Friday.

They either have stronger heroin or more junkies.
If it were that simple. Right now, a lot of users pass out in cars while driving, therefore, other people on the road could be victims of an accident; also, a lot of these users have children, so it is not a victim-less crime at this rate.

Michigan on East, where really a lot of the population is located is where heroin is a major problem.
Ohio and Kentucky and W. Va., are especially hit hard, Boston, New England up to Maine too. A lot of this in Alabama. One can sift through the stories and see the harder hit areas.
As far as trafficking goes, I’ve read to opposite views, most coming in from Mexico, but now, some dignitary went over to Afghanistan and said it is still mostly coming in from there.
Just another example that much of America has descended into and embraced neo pagan epicurean decadence. Widespread drug use, hedonism, unrestricted abortion, open homosexuality with all its vile permutations, pornography, earth and celebrity worship complete with individual and group rituals and pathetic long term dependence. There no longer exists a common reasonable consensus of values. Those that argue for “tolerance” are actually advocating the suspension of rational judgement and the acquiescence to evil in their midst.
They cut the heroin with Fentanyl, FENTANYL is what is making it so potent and causing so many ODs in this epidemic.

A lot of pill mills have been busted/closed down. Yes a lot of “junkies” were going there but so were a lot of people in real chronic pain. It’s quite possible that some of the people who were in real pain are now turning to the cheaper street heroin because they can’t get what they had and/or can’t afford the meds they need. I can see this. It’s not their fault the junkies hurt the real pain sufferers (no pun intended)
Sounds like a whole bunch bad dope on the streets there.
The Forbes fortune, the Delano fortune (the money behind Franklin Delano Roosevelt) and several others great American fortunes that founded or built up universities like Princeton and Yale are all fortunes made from selling opium in China.
Apparently we're also going to guard the opium crop in Afghanistan that is turned into the dope that will kill us. Now that's an interesting new twist.

Lots of people in Middle America are getting themselves addicted to pain killers.
In the town of Kermit, West Virginia a town of 392 people, the pharmacy sold nine million hydrocodone pills in two years.
The people are making themselves junkies.

Yes, of course, desperate chronic pain patients deprived of Rx opiates make up a large fraction of new street drug users.

Yes, some people have chronic pain, but the distribution of chronic pain sufferers should be somewhat evenly distributed throughout the country. However, the distribution of opioid addiction is not even throughout the country.
Thus, addition to pain killers is cultural and specific to certain areas around the country. These people are letting themselves become addicted to opioids and becoming junkies.
I agree but have never understood the economics of cutting with Fentanyl. Are they getting it almost free from labs in China or something?
State laws with respect to opiate dispensing vary a lot. I would not expect to see an even distribution across the country. Other cultural factors do play a role and heroin addiction is increasing everywhere.
