That doesn't mean we can throw caution to the wind, but it is important for people to realize that illness happens and we don't have as much control over health as we think. As people age, the body falls apart. Whether it's heart attack or cancer or something else, everybody eventually succumbs to something.

This is exactly why I eat foods with preservatives in them. I want preserved. It's GMO foods all the way for me.

Talk show host Bill Cunningham needs to hear this. He has claimed that illness doesn't just happen; and if you get sick, it's your fault. At least three times, I've turned his show off in disgust when he tries to establish some sort of moral equivalence between people who get sick and drunk drivers.

I’ve known people that have thought that if they eat veggies, avoid meat and don’t smoke that they’re immune to cancer. I told them cancer is cells gone crazy and you’re lucky if you can catch it early and have it removed.
