Cancer resources
Self

Posted on 05/06/2017 11:29:57 AM PDT by Dacula

My wife has stage 4 metastatic cancer. She has battled this before and survived twice.

This time the cancer has reached her brain and the doctors are a bit more apprehensive than before.

Does anyone know about grants? All of her doctors are telling us to apply for grants to pay for her medicine.

Any advice would be appreciated. I may not be able to respond right away, but I will do my best. Lots of planning and preparation on my part.

Check with the makers of the medicine directly. Sometimes they have programs to lower costs of meds.

Prayers and hugs.

The doctors should be able to give you addresses. There should be someone in the billing office who would have the list.

That is so hard to have to face for both of you. My heart goes out to you with prayers. If she was a child I could say St Jude treats at no cost. How I wish there was a hospital like that for adults. My son was treated at St Jude for 3 yrs before he passed away. We never received a bill. I know that God will provide a way forward. He always does.

Each state has different programs and funding that may be able to provide assistance.

If nothing else, call 877-336-7287, the number for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing in Lewiston, Maine. They may be able to direct you.

There is the “Gofundme” that might help a little.

We are not rich but could use financial help. Especially since she was in Critical Care ICU for several days.

We are helpers not beggars. Uncharted territory.

.
Get her immediately on small doses of Baking Soda daily.

(Half teaspoon)

Cancer does not live in an alkaline body.

Metatrol is also helpful, but somewhat costly.

Get her immediately on small doses of Baking Soda daily.

There have been recent reports that Vitamin C, when administered in high doses by intravenous infusions, can kill cancer cells. High doses - 800 -- 1000 times the daily recommended amount of vitamin C - is not toxic to healthy cells, so there is little risk. For what it's worth.

Prayers for you and your wife.

You are on Georgia. Check the Cancer Center of America that is in Atlanta as well as Emory university hospital.

.
You are 100% correct about vitamin C, but is needs to be done by a licensed professional; the soda is effective and can be done for one’s self immediately.
