During the “outage” I was inundated by the relentless lunacy of the LIB/DIM idiots. That reassured my determination to ridicule, laugh-at, resist and crush these moronic lunatics. Onward to victory for Freedom!
Still not gainfully employed (in the WTX oil-field) but I’ll happily donate, today, to the FReep-a-thon [a meager $20] so Jim and John can “keep the lights on”.
Oh, and, John...get some sleep at your earliest convenience.

Maybe FR Management will consider hiring a small team of volunteer/ professionals who can help create a back up system, or update one that may exist. This is not a criticism, no one person knows everything or could perceive every possible way to solve a problem. It may be time to widen the tent just a bit, thus increasing the skill set for this website. Everyone wins.
I am no where near qualified to advise on keeping a website going. I stayed on WebTV for a long, long time. I didn’t want to change and have to learn new methods to get my News fix. I resisted ever buying my first laptop throughout the Clinton Administration.
However, most posters here are far more advanced on using and understanding the internet that I am.
I would bet anyone a large platter of Sweet & Sour Chicken over Pork Fried Rice (My treat!) that there are many Freepers who ARE qualified to assist in the creation of a more secure, fortified site. My guess is that many would donate their time. Just ask them and facilitate the dialog. So good to be back here reading the posts!

Major news, major anti-Trump activity and FR was down.
Anyway ....
Raid systems can be had for cheap

And of course a dual raid system for backup.
All together it’s expensive, but people get po’ed and leave when FR is down for so long. I don’t care if it’s Somebody’s income.
Figure out the bottom line how much it’s costing you running cheap hardware vs the Total Cost of Quality.
I built and maintained a web presence for my own company for fourteen years.
It is a pain in the a$$. I am never going to judge how these guys manage their site. And during an outage, the last thing you want to hear is “help from those looking in.”
The major difference with this outage was the banner page telling me to go to facebook. I had no idea how many times I hit the site by “rote.”
I am glad its back.

I looked at the facebook updates and I really can’t stand facebook. At all. Someone suggested that FR move to FB . Uh, NO! That would require a lot of folks to sign up for FB and I ain’t. Mrs. rktman has a page that I look at from time to time but it is NOT for me.
I WAS CONJURING up all sorts of imaginary reasons for the outage. More then a few, of my nightmarish thoughts, involved a bad act by the LEFT Wing of Politics, Media, PRESS VENGENCE.
