If you want to honor his sons’ wishes you can binge watch him in Babylon 5 online again. It’s now being streamed at: https://www.go90.com/shows/babylon5

An under appreciated actor.

While good in Animal House, he was awesome as Vir in B5.

Telling off Mr. Morden:

Got the entire series on DVD. Along with the TV movies :-) Babylon 5 was my only must-see TV when I was in college.

I loved the scene where he and Lennier get a drink at the bar and, without speaking to each other, go off on their bosses to themselves. Then they finished their drinks and Vir says, “Same time next week?”

Vir eventually got what he wanted from Morden.

Sigh...the Babylon 5 cast continues to be picked off.

Stephen Furst always made me laugh.

I'm glad he lost weight in recent years, but his chubby, good nature is what made him "Flounder".

Now I'm going to start worrying about Stuart Pankin.

Another funny obese guy.

He's lost a lot of weight, too.

Last year we lost Jerry Doyle, I do not think I can ever watch that show again, know most are dying, and why the heck is star trek actors living longer, I guess there is truth that there is a curse on the B5 main cast.

As do I. My favorite line from Londo: “Now - pffft - anyone can be emperor. I can be emperor. Vir can be emperor. If Vir can be emperor - a small earth cat can be emperor!” from the Day of the Dead, ironically my favorite episode. Long live Vir Kotto, long live Flounder, long live Stephen Furst, i loved your work!

Damned. Steve was one funny guy, who signed lots of autographs, stood for pictures, and just clowned around with us common folk at Sci-Fi conventions.

He got his start in Hollywood by putting his Resume’ on the inside lids of pizza boxes he delivered there. That’s how he got his “Animal House” audition.

Here’s a story none of you have ever heard, because I first got it from a friend, and then pulled it on Steve.

I met Furst twice and on the second time I said, “Steve, is your family name Feurstein”? Yes, he said.

“Was your father a pawnbroker in Norfolk, Va?” Again he said “yes”.

“Did he go to a shual named ###”? Yes, he said. How do you know all that?

Well, my shual friend Ken Gutterman was stationed in Norfolk and sat next to your father at shual during the Jewish holidays.

Steve burst out laughter. He knew he had been had, by an admirer.

He also spoke very nicely about his son who was studying music and movie directing (which he later did).

I’m really going to miss him. “Animal House” is my favorite comedy of all time. It will be a lasting tribute to his comedic genius.
