I think that was the guy in Seinfeld. Wayne Knight.

From Abominal House, Mad Magazine’s spoof of Animal House:

“May I have 288 marbles please?”*

“That’s 2 gross.”

“NOTHING is too gross for this movie!”

*—the line in the movie was May I have 10,000 marbles please? Tossed onto the parade route, a bunch of ROTC types slip and fall, I believe. A woman on a float is catapulted into a young boy’s bedroom. He says, “thank you, God!”

Yeah, I remember that - on ABC, with about half of the original cast members (the ones that couldn't transition to movie deals).

There are episodes of it on YouTube....

My fraternity also had a Flounder. His younger brother (thus also a legacy from Harrisburg...) was nicknamed Trout.

Requiescat in pace.

RIP Stephen

Stephen Furst Babylon 5 trivia (IMDB):

Furst publicly credits J. Michael Straczynski’s show Babylon 5 (1994) with saving his life, because he is a longtime diabetic whose kidneys failed midway through the show. A fan who loved his portrayal of ‘Vir’ heard of his health problems and donated a kidney to save him from dialysis and a likely early demise.

I was due to begin a new “binge watch” now that I’ve completed all eight seasons of Castle. I have the DVD set from years ago so Monday begins a new binge of B5!

Telling off Mr. Morden:

That was great. My favorite was when he was trying to sort out Molari's three wives when they all visited.

Was memorable as the computer geek in “Jurassic Park” who stole the dinosaur DNA and got eaten by the small dinosaurs when he ran off the road in a storm.

Wayne Knight?

Oh, I see someone already corrected you on Wayne Knight.

Happy Father's Day, in any event...

Stephen Furst will always be “Flounder” to me. Doesn’t hurt that I had a college roommate upon whom they could have based the Flounder character. Unfortunately, my roommate also had medical problems and passed at a young age.

RIP, Flounder. Say hi to Senator Blutarsky and don’t forget to throw up on Dean Wormer if you see him!

Everybody dies and that’s not a good thing. I remember watching that Animal House movie in the theatre back in the summer of 1978. When the Bee Gees were ruling the charts and Olivia Newton John Travolta as well. The summer was a hot summer. Heat and humidity. A lot of fried clams were eaten. I went to the beach many times. Then there was the movie called Animal House that was a big hit and a lot of people went to go see it. John Belushi was famous. He was about to become more famous on account of the Blues Brothers. Then he died too. Everybody seems to die. Eventually.

>My favorite line from Londo: “Now - pffft - anyone can be emperor. I can be emperor. Vir can be emperor. If Vir can be emperor - a small earth cat can be emperor!” from the Day of the Dead, ironically my favorite episode

Interesting. Besides the famous fingers-at-Morden thing, my favorite Vir-ism was this, from Geometry of Shadows (certainly in my top 5 episodes): “Well, actually, I believe there are currents in the Universe. Eddies and tides that pull us one way or the other. Some we have to fight, some we have to embrace. Unfortunately, the currents that we have to fight look exactly like the currents we have to embrace. The currents that we think are the one that’s gonna make us stronger, they are the ones that are going to destroy us. And the ones that we think are going to destroy us, they are the ones that are going to make us stronger.”
