I think you may be confused. First of all the guy put up with not being able to use a bathroom his entire life unless it was miles away from where he was because of only black use restrooms...that had to suck and you know it. Then he was for race equality which really every conservative should be for. Why should being black cause you to not be able to be a success, to not be able to vote, to not own property and worse not be able to date the women of choice. All that was repulsive but he overcame all those obstacles and more. I am only going by the movie preview but it looks good. I don’t know of any cases except maybe a very important Brown vs. Education which every conservative agrees with that case so not sure why you think he is lefty.
