Roman Catholic Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia criticized the Southern Poverty Law Center for falsely labeling the Alliance Defending Freedom as a “hate group.”
“When an organization like the Southern Poverty Law Center labels a mainstream religious liberty advocate like the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) as a ‘hate group’, it’s simply betraying its own bitter contempt for the people and convictions the ADF defends,” Chaput wrote in the his weekly column, which was posted on the website of the Archdiocese of Philadlephia.
“So yes,” Chaput wrote, “hate has a home here alright: not just among white nationalists, immigrant-haters and neo-Nazis, as loathsome as their ideas are, but also among the ‘progressive’ and educated elites who have the power to insulate themselves from the consequences of their own delusions and bigotries.”
The Alliance Defending Freedom is a non-profit legal organization dedicated to “advocating for religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled the ADF an “anti-LBGT hate group.” …

The archbishop will probably receive a reprimand. The liberal groups are above reproach.
That’s the biggest liberal tactic right now. To portray any disagreement with them as naziism and white supremacy.
If they succeed, free speech will no longer exist, and the left will have absolute and unopposed total control over everything.
Notice how the SPLC gives Islam a pass, even though it qualifies as a hate group under nearly all their criterion.
But not from Pope Francis. The Devil owns SPLC.
FYI. But I guess you will hear about this if you still live in Pennsylvania...
The SPLC is nothing more than a money scam. Its website is also a scam in not listing several founders and others. They should be sued out of existence, and the Alliance Defending Freedom is one group among many that should do it.

At least Chaput has some protection from that since he’s an American Indian. He’s not white.
Chaput never fails to blame Trump. Which he did in this column.
He repeats the lie that Trump is a racist BEFORE criticizing the SPLC.
Chaput is NOT our friend. He is an open-borders fanatic, like all the bishops (those who open their mouths).
I noticed that further down the article. This is what he gets for trying to play nice with the left.
