Read the book “The Late Great Planet Earth” when I was in college. It’s a “interpretation” of the Book of Revelations.
From what I recall it predicted the E.U. It had the Bear and the Eagle fighting the Dragon (mind you I read this during the cold war.) Fall of the Eagle. Destruction of Israel.
Gotta read this again.
It did not "predict the E.U." - the European Community was already in existence at the time of the book's publication.
Not difficult for someone in the 70s to think up imagery like "The Bear," "The Eagle," and "The Dragon." (But in actuality, the book makes no mention of bears or eagles.)
Most tellingly, the author (Hal Lindsey) also fixed a time-line according to which Armageddon should have happened more than 30 years ago. (Hard to sell books today predicting events expected to happen in the far future.)
The book is on a par with science-fiction.
