There is one political enterprise within Washington DC and national politics. There is only one enterprise. That enterprise is the UniParty. There is only one political party in Washington DC, with two internal caucuses Republicans and Democrats.
The Big Ugly is the moment when President Trump decides to rip the masks off the remnants of the Republican wing of the UniParty within Washington DC. In many ways the Big Ugly is the elimination of the Republican party, and the beginning of an era when a second party, a MAGA party, actually enters the blood stream of U.S. politics and stands against the UniParty.

The Left has often said that the destructive urge is also a creative urge. I tend to oppose such thinking because it can be used to justify killing a whole lot of people — because it’s worth it, ya know, if you’re fighting for a good cause.
But I suppose destroying something to build something better isn’t always wrong. If Trump destroys the GOP, I won’t mind — so long as he builds something a little less Democrat.
PING
Congress does not write laws or legislation, special interest groups do. Lobbyists are paid, some very well paid, to get politicians to go along with the need of the legislative group.
When you are voting for a Congressional Rep or a U.S. Senator you are not voting for a person who will write laws. Your rep only votes on legislation to approve or disapprove of constructs that are written by outside groups and sold to them through lobbyists who work for those outside groups.
While all of this is happening the same outside groups who write the laws are providing money for the campaigns of the politicians they need to pass them. This construct sets up the quid-pro-quo of influence, although much of it is fraught with plausible deniability. This is the way legislation is created.
Yeah and if Trump upholds DACA, Sundance will be right there saying what a beautiful move it was and that Trump is playing 4-D chess.
Trumps’ goal to drain the swamp
Will be Monumental!
Not a wall.
Not DACA.
Not Taxes or Hillary.
But the Literal tearing Down of Strongholds!
Trump has a big heart. It is my desire to see 100% of all illegals to be deported as soon as possible. But Trump will have some mercy on the very young in the daca catagory. But these 30 year old illegals ripping us off with welfare and taking our lobs are HISTORY!!
4D chess...
Well I gotta hope that this whole
TRUMP THING is Bigger than
A Wall or any other single item.
It has to be “the Way” the Country
Is Run,
About “is it good for Americans! “

A perfect explanation. This needs to be shouted from the house tops. Many folks in the USA are completely unaware of this process. Needs lots more attention. President Trump is the man to do it.
Bump!
Completely agree. I also believe this system is no good because it’s fertile ground for all kinds of corruption. Even the most well intentioned honest person can and probably will get corrupted by this system.
I don’t think for a second our founders envisioned the system working like this. There must be ways to prevent the bulk of this corruption with checks and balances; one of which is term limits. Another would be returning the placement of senators to the state legislatures in each state. Senators answer to the state legislature and the legislature answers to us and of course so do the state reps.
The senate is extremely corrupt at every level. They think they are in charge of us instead of the other way around as it is intended to be. They work for us; or at least are supposed to. These career senators are the absolute worst of the bunch. Their terms should be reduced to 4 years and only for two terms max. Again; sent their by their state legislatures who can replace them without an act of God if they get out of line like our two AZ senators are right now.
Many of these DACA “kids” have already had kids of their own. Born in the USA and now American citizens. I really don’t understand how ending the anchor baby citizenship is not talked about at all. If you’re not a US citizen or legally residing in the USA your kids should NOT be given citizenship. It happens every day...people here on VACATION or just walking over the border illegally are having anchor babies...and no one does a damn thing to stop this loophole.
The anchor baby loophole is a pet peeve of mine too. It must go.
The law writing lobbyists perform a service for the Republic for those Congressmen who graduated from Public School. Writing and figuring are hard for them.
I don’t think you understand the Hispanic culture very well. To them this would not be an option.
So I have to disagree with this and say again losing the anchor baby loophole and deporting both the mom and baby is the correct thing to do. We cannot be the depository of the world’s poor.
The “Hispanic” culture is not even relevant. If you institute a policy like that you don’t have to go through the not-gonna-happen process of trying to end auto-citizenship. A Spanish mom-to-be is not going to come across the border in order to have a baby in America if it doesn’t keep her in America and her citizen anchor is cut loose from the boat or sent back to the dock. Her child won’t grow up and fetch his relatives across the border. That works for the Chinese, too, who are doing the same thing, just with more money so they don’t make the waves.
I may be only talking about checkers, here, but you are not past tic-tac-toe.
Actually I appear to be playing chess while you are still thinking about checkers. We simply don’t take kids away from their mothers like that without a very good reason.
Your way of getting rid of the anchor baby problem won’t work and is not viable.
