As that massive storm battered Texas and other parts of the South, Mexico’s foreign minister reached out to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to offer assistance with the recovery efforts — something the nation also did following Hurricane Katrina.
It was a gracious and humane gesture from a country that has received nothing but crude invective from Trump. And of course, Trump responded to the offer not with thanks and gratitude, but with zero acknowledgment of it at all as he unleashed more racist garbage about Mexico.
And now, following that treatment and with its own natural disasters to contend with, Mexico has revoked the offer of assistance.

Yesterday afternoon I heard a news report that they withdrew the offer due to needing to use their own emergency resources for themselves, after the huge earthquake.
If anyone actually said that they pulled it because Trump made some new insult to them, it is likely either a lie, or an afterthought from some NeverTrump moron like Vicente Fox, not an official government decision.

I had a liberal cousin post on Facebook about wonderful Mexicans coming here to help with hurricane relief. The meme she posted said, “Good thing the wall hasn’t been built yet!” So—I guess this means the aid workers must be sneaking across the border to help us, rather than coming in through the legal port of entry?
I couldn’t care less if Mexico is offended or mad at Trump. Let them keep their illegals out of our country, if we’re so horrible.
