What does this have to do with a glass statue???
Springer was the man who broke the statue, a 30-lb, 2 foot high crystal eagle, that he smashed on the podium at which Reagan was standing, hitting him in the head with the fragments. A new statue was made to replace the one broken. While appreciated and missed by his friends, Springer’s loss was not mourned by Reagan’s fans. Don’t think the thread meandered off that topic.
