I wish we could eliminate pro "sports" altogether. After all, the terms are contradictory. To do a thing for the "sport" is to pursue something as enjoyment. Once money enters in, it's no longer a "sport." It's a "career."

Best thing to do about this is ignore it. There are less than two dozen black hockey players in the NHL. Don’t publicize it or make it an issue. Most hockey players are Canadian or from Europe and this is only going to drag more teams into the fray.

Sometime during the first 20 games or so, release him.

I hope, when this happens in the “other sports than NBA and NFL”, these guys look like jerks. They do to me. I can’t imagine them having many players doing this. NHL and the other league are not majority AA, so, I don’t see the same significance or at least impact of the act; maybe I’m wrong.

Brown is NOT in the lineup tonight vs. the Caps.

Good for Coach Cooper, he's going with 11 forwards and 7 D (he'll probably say it's nothing against Brown, just a typical tactical approach).

The Bucs and Rays wanted the removal of the statue... the Bolts said let the elected leaders do what they want to do they were staying out of it.

I think they matched a donation to move the statue at the end of the day hoping the issue would go away... and alas it has not.

They sure as hell scratched J.T. Brown for the next home game. He would get booed every time he touched the puck if he touched the ice (all 6 minutes of the game he would play)

That said, team played lights out in the 3rd period for a comeback win with a lineup featuring 11 Forwards and 7 Defensemen... not a lot of room in that lineup for Brown who is the 13th best Forward on the team.

Beating the Cup Champion Penguins so far tonight, with a similar lineup. Koekkoek (D) in place of Brown, even scored a goal.

I had no illusions about hockey. The only thing is this won’t spread. The number of blacks in the game is miniscule and they are skating on thin ice doing this.
