Fans booed New Orleans Saints players who knelt before the presentation of the American flag and the singing of the national anthem Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The boos rang down during a moment of silence for fallen NOPD officer Marcus McNeil, who was killed in the line of duty Friday. The fans cheered when the players stood before the anthem, which was performed by former Saintsation Deri Tucker. Sunday's game vs. the Lions was the Saints' first at the Dome since President Trump weighed in on protesting NFL players during a campaign rally in Alabama last month. Officer Marcus McNeil, 29, was slain while on duty Oct. 13, 2017.

Vic, If you’re an orangutan, I don’t expect you to stand during a moment of silence. But, if you’re human, it’s sort of expected. And, Vic, if you didn’t know this by now, there’s little hope you could ever be civilized.

Amen and amen!! I was already done with the Seahawks after Pete Carroll came out in support of Michael Bennett on the day that he made his ludicrously false accusations against Las Vegas Police...no waiting for evidence, no waiting for statements, videotapes, anything. Just a blanket statement about how awful it was that poor Michael, who has NO political motivation to lie through his teeth (/sarc),was profiled “just for being black”.
What happened to Bennett, after the Connor MacGregor fight on August 26th, was probably a trial run for what happened in Vagas just two weeks later...and no one would have known a thing about it had he not tried to turn it into something that the videotapes clearly showed it was NOT!! If Bennett or Pete Carroll had a conscience, or a clue, they would step up and admit that Bennett was detained because he was acting suspiciously, NOT because he was black!! They have both embarrassed themselves and lost MANY die hard fans in the process.
I hope the NFL implodes in on itself and when these overpaid malcontents have to go find a real job, maybe they will look back on this and realize it was ALL their own fault!!
One long-ago sports writer said that, “the fans in Philadelphia would boo a funeral.” I guess for some people booing something is part of the fun. This time it is the Saints players that took a knee that were booing a policeman’s memorial. What jerks!
Only a small percentage of fans are going to give up their pastime over this issue. But I’m about ready to go egg team buses and wave “traitor” signs. But I can’t boycott the Pros because I haven’t watched since Dallas canned Landry.
Sell your tickets to the hoodrats and let them show up to the games, and watch all the folks in their corporate suites sweat like pigs.

Because they paid for it and there is no way out. So, one might as well go and boo. Which, BTW, also is a good thing.
NEXT year will be the teller - people buy season tickets and even just 1-time tickets well in advance, and can’t get rid of them easily. Whereas, now they can just avoid buying tickets. Watch for empty seats next year.
Why do people even attend a pro football game or watch on tv? These kneeling players just laugh at us. I’ve quit watching on tv..neilson ratings still count. They give us the finger and black fist...I say pay no attention to these millionaire spoiled brats.
Because the fans really don't give a shi! as long as they have their beer and hot dogs. That is all it really is. Garbage and they worship the black crap.
