CHRISTMAS CAKE

Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
lemon juice
4 large eggs
nuts
1 bottle Rum
2 cups of dried fruit

Sample the rum to check quality. To be sure it meets the highest standards, pour half a cup and drink.
Take a large bowl, check the rum for room temperature.
Repeat
Turn on the electric mixer.
Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one teaspoon of sugar.
Beat again.

At this point it’s best to make sure the rum is still OK.

Try another cup .... just in case. Turn off the mixerer.

Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick fruit off floor.
Mix on the turner.

If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the rum to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something.

Check the rum.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.

Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don’t forget to beat off the turner.

Finally, throw out the whole mess, finish the rum - it is recommended that one sits to complete this. Call for a pizza.
CHERRY MISTMAS! I’M WRECKED

It started snowing last night and is to continue until Saturday, total accumulation of 10-12 inches. The fourteen day forecast does not show a day with a high temperature above zero.

I drive for a living. ‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’? BAH, HUMBUG!

“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!”

Thank you, Mr. Dickens!

Didn’t you say you didn’t like Quantum Leap? I probably am thinking of someone else. I’ve always loved the show. Good job.

Speaking of Quantum leap. It was sometime before I realized that Scott Beckula was as top notch of a singer as you can get.

I am so sorry for your driving, Former, and will try not to let slip the temperature felt around 60 today with autumn leaves still on the trees and clouds that could almost make you believe you were in the midwest instead of the northeast. That was a whisper and you never heard it. When young and the owner of an MGB, it never fit in the snow ruts on the Chicago streets and we’d have to drive tilted. And living in New York was to remember cars coming down icy hills sideways. Stay safe.

No, that was me. But what I dearly love are friends, and my friends love the show and so I worked hard to give them videos that made them happy. People used to drop in for 24 hours or a week and I’d teach making these all through the night. We had some wonderful times. I remember one time doing a Professionals party where I invited some of the security guards at work who were fans of Soldiers of Fortune magazine. They knew where everyone had worked. Anyway, here was this houseful of women watching them unload an arsenal out of their van to show off. By the time they left, every woman but me could get out of handcuffs. I’m mechanically inept.

You can really tell how good his voice is in those. and incredible versatile performer. His soft metal rock voice has always blown me away too:

Fate’s Wide Wheel from Glitter Rock

It is really something to watch the actual performance in quantum leap. It is near the end of season 3, Episode 17. He even dresses like KISS.

The only place I think you can see it now is on HULU. Everything on you tube has the episode video edited out.

I did the Quantum Leap decades ago, so I don't have full episodes in our file system as I do with the other series that I vid from. But we'll put that episode in and see if YouTube will take just the song. It may not. YouTube blocks about ten percent of my music videos, which are only available for download from my website. So, for example, they block all the Bob Dylans and Billy Joels, and a few others. For Quantum Leap, they block Bridge Over Troubled Water. That's the downloadable zip file.
