This stuff is explosive.
Am in a hurry to share Django with youse guys.
They unchained him?
Give a listen and see if you think he is unchained.
BTW, I knew nothing of Django Reinhardt until a few days ago when I read an article about his renewed popularity in Paris and read another of his bio.
Check out the Rhythm Future Quartet.
Here is “Minor Swing”.
Guitarist Ollie Soikkeli is an awesome DR heir. Violin does Graphelli well also.

I discovered Django over 40 years ago while in high school.
Dark Eyes is one of my favorite gypsy songs. Lawrence Welk did the best version ever in my opinion...and also the Russian classic Two Guitars. Check it out if you get a chance.

More impressive is that Django lost the use of two fingers of his left hand when he was caught in a fire and severely burnt that hand.
I have a CD by him. First time I heard his name was in the movie “Sweet and Lowdown” -
Great jazz.
Django was the best! He, Bix, Rollini, etc. are all but forgotten today. Most “jazz” fans are pikers. Thanks for calling out the real thing.
WOW! TERRIFIC! Thanks, RR. (Never heard of Django before yesterday). GREAT posts.
great stuff
Also check out wes montgomary trio
Great Stuff! I’ve followed a number of similar musicians.
