Political History Laughs: Sen. Kerry: Nation is 'Polarized' - The challenger on...
NBC News ^ | 11/1/2004 | Tom Brokaw

I stumbled across this and had a wonderful laugh. This is an interview Tom Brokaw did with John Kerry just before the election in 2004 when he F-in' lost miserably to George W. Bush.

Enjoy the historical laughs.

Ah, the old days, even before Zero was president gave us the same stupidity in the Democratic Party as we see now. Such progressives they are...ROR!

The only reason we got Zero is voters were reacting against Bush’s monumental failures. Iraq war and Depression of 2008. He left office with some of lowest approval numbers in history. GOP kept him away from their convention and no candidate in the country wanted his visible support. Worst.. republican. President. Ever.

Through all his bad policy and stupidity, GWB was still much better than Obama. That’s all I’m saying.

Yes, but Bush is the reason we got Obama

Yeah, I agree. I see your point. That does make him the worst (Republican) President ever.

If Kerry had won, he would have been the nominee and would have been beatable, provided we didn’t run a horror like McCain. Nobama in 2008. But, we’d still have the threat of Obama hanging over us. At least he’s done now.

Bush was a disastrous president

Yes, Bush was a disaster. He paved the way for Obama to be elected.

The Goebbelsmedia did quite a job on Bush.

How would the Iraq invasion be viewed if the media had not been propagandizing against it? How much quicker could it have been controlled without sabotage by the Goebbelsmedia?

It will never cease to be a source of pause, for me, to recall how badly I misjudged Bush 43. Seemed like a nice enough guy at the time. I don’t happen to blame him for the financial crisis nor 9/11. But he very politely created some nasty, lasting damage that only became evident with the passage of time. 0bama, there was no mistaking how rotten he was in real time.

People who don’t blame Bush for the crash don’t know about his cheap mortgage program - American Dream program, I think it was called - that susidized home buying for Latinos with bad credit. Part of Roves vote buying scheme. Helped inflate housing prices and ensure a crash when these recipients couldn’t make their mortgage payments. Thanks Bush

Trump has rightly called Bushs invasion of Iraq one of the biggest foreign policy blunders in American history. We took out Iran’s enemy - Saddam - and created chaos in the heart of the Middle East. Bush was warned it would lead to disaster. But he’s not very bright

Bush also gave orders against Muslim profiling at airports - before 911.

I was only vaguely aware of that; but that is only one of several contributing causes that led to the fin crisis. To me, coming at it from the financial end, the biggest single and most global cause was the elimination of Fan and Freddie underwriting standards....which GWB raised the alarm about well over a dozen times; though only in a general way. I think 17 times. But in the end, his politeness would not let him act authoritatively against the Franklin Raines, Barney Franks, and Maxine Waters of the world.

His American Dream program eliminated underwriting standards for mortgages. Made down payments for people who couldn’t afford to on their own. He deserves NO credit for meaningless warning lenders against the very practices he was using in his own down payment giveaway program. Google it and you’ll learn more. The conservative media has been quiet about it, just as they covered for Bush on Iraq. It wasn’t till Trump came along that the spell was broken against Republicans speaking truth about Grorge Bush and his disastrous policies, foreign and domestic

Saddam Hussein was the source of chaos in the Middle East long before Bush. Not only was he funding terrorist groups across the world but even inside this nation. He had to go or he would pose constant threat to the world’s oil supplies.

Nonsense. We got Obama because the Goebbelsmedia destroyed Bush as it still does to this day. That added to the delusional gullibility of the electorate produced our Hussein.
