Kensington Palace told The Tablet that Miss Markle is a Protestant but had not previously been baptised or confirmed. In addition, she will seek to become a British citizen, the palace said.
Prince Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, is Supreme Governor of the Church of England.
Prince Harry is currently fifth in line to the throne and will become sixth in line after the birth of his brother Prince William's third child next year.
Ms Markle went to a Catholic school but is not a Catholic. In any case, the 2013 Succession to the Crown Act 2013 removed the law that marrying a Catholic would forfeit succession to the throne.

Who cares. If Harry were to have a DNA test done I would be willing to bet he’s not part of ‘Royal Family” anyway, and that’s a good thing.

I just saw your post about Drudge information after I posted the previous link to the Forward article.
I dunno...but heads would roll!
She might have some Jewish heritage and her ex husband may have been, but it looks like she identifies as Protestant.
What struck me as an L.A. local, is that she attended a well known Catholic girls school here during her formative years. (Grades 7-12) - Immaculate Heart - which is run by nuns and caters to a whole swath of the community: urban, suburban, wealthy to low-income. Another famous alum is the black supermodel Tyra Banks.
