Porn star August Ames was found dead of an apparent suicide Wednesday, one day after the adult actress was apparently bullied by social justice warriors on social media for explaining she would not perform in scenes alongside male actors who also perform in gay porn, due to health concerns.
Ames, whose real name is Mercedes Grabowski, “died of asphyxia due to hanging” in what has been ruled as a suicide, according to Ventura County, California officials. She was 23 years old.
Grabowski was bullied on Twitter after she announced her refusal to do porn scenes with gay porn actors, citing what she claimed was a higher likelihood of contracting HIV.
Users quickly called Grabowski, who was bisexual, “homophobic” for her remarks, prompting the actress to further explain.
“NOT homophobic. Most girls don’t shoot with guys who have shot gay porn, for safety,” Grabowski proclaimed. “That’s just how it is with me. I’m not putting my body at risk, i don’t know what they do in their private lives.”

While it's true that she was obviously very fragile to take her life after a day of this treatment, you can bet that these smug ***holes don't care a whit about a human life.

The poor thing. First of all, to be a “porn actress” at 23 says that there was a lot wrong with her life. It probably didn’t take much to push her over the edge. Prayers for the poor child.
God is merciful, and there’s probably a backstory there that only He knows.
Of course she was “fragile.” Psychologically health people do not become porn performers.

Why would a gay man want to perform with a woman? Sad. She had to have other issues. Still she should have dealt with her demons.

So they sexually harassed her? I thought that was currently a bad thing to be doing and cost people their jobs etc.
Choosing to do any work in porn was a terrible idea, and no doubt caused her mental problems leading to suicide - but at least this notion she had was sensible.
None of this had to happen.
Women do not commit suicide by hanging themselves.
Yes. Indeed. And quite a few former porn stars are living redeemed lives: at peace with Christ, happily married with children, even pastoring churches.
She probably had other issues. This swarm mentality on Twitter can be very powerful when you’re a public figure, and have other issues as well.
Don’t like to see anyone commit suicide.

It’s true! Did you see the news this week that Facebook has a new messaging app for 6- to 12-year-old children? I am furious! This is so immoral! Every study over the last ten years correlates social media use negatively with mental and physical health outcomes, and the younger the participant, the worse the outcomes.
“Just say no if you don’t like it,” they tell parents, but then they make it almost impossible to control it without moving to the farm and living in the 19th century. Unless you have those mythical children who hear, “No,” and comply, 100%, you’re constantly fighting with this garbage.
