I’m sure every voter in Alabama is just waiting for their betters in New Jersey and Massachusetts to fly down and tell them how to vote. I’m not sure the liberals and their media have missed a single trick in how best to piss them off.

I bet the only time he gets excited is hearing someone murdered their
unborn baby.

I bet it’s worrying them that the black turnout was so very small.

Remeber this rule in rhyme:

Did Dave Weigel have pics of the small turnout?

People in AL have never heard of Cory Booker and Deval Patrick. Booker should come with Cory Gardner, and they may have gotten a little more attention.

Aren’t there more elite elites in Huntsville?

Here is how I would describe the 4 main metro areas:

Birmingham: Once it was the steel industry. Nowadays, Medical, Academia, and lots of lawyers

Montgomery: Government, Military, and lots of lawyers

Mobile: Manufacturing (hurt severely by BO) and shipping

Huntsville: Tech and Space

So I am not sure about elite elites in Huntsville. IIRC, I think RIMTB is closer to Huntsville than I am, and may be the better one to answer that question

I just hope there is something in place to prevent Jones from winning through voter fraud.

Don’t kid yourselves, the Democrats do know what they’re doing here. This election is already lost, but they see some value in using Moore’s victory to inflame their base for 2018 and 2020.

The Democrats probably won’t win anything in Alabama in 2018 or 2020, but they’ll get as much mileage as they can elsewhere by prattling on about the racist sister-marrying rednecks who elected a “child molester” senator.

Birmingham: Once it was the steel industry. Nowadays, Medical, Academia, and lots of lawyers.

I would add start-ups (Innovation Depot), restaurants and "craft beer y'all."

The "craft beer y'all" is a thing that was started to make fun of all the faux journalists at al.com who decided that "CRAFT BEER" would save Birmingham.

We do have voter ID.

From experience, a few years ago, I think it was the 2012 election, when I attempted to obtain an absentee ballot for my daughter while she was in college. Keep in mind we were trying not to mail it in, in order to prevent tampering. It took like 3 trips to the courthouse and was quite an ordeal because they did not allow me to turn it in. IIRC she ended up taking a day off of school and driving up to vote.

Haha....as one who avoids AL.com, that explains why I see all the Craft Beer places. Birmingham is turning into quite the foody city too.

Don’t know anything about this, but I can tell you this about the south.... No southerner worth his salt gives a damn about some yankee coming down and telling them what they should be doing....

If anything, that will just solidify whoever they are campaigning for’s opponent.

Liberals truly have no idea how the country outside of the northeast, west coast, or big city enclaves works.. they don’t have a bloody clue.

Some politician from NY or NJ or the like thinking they are going to show up and draw a crowd in the south is beyond stupid.

That’s what they want to go see in Alabama. The former Newark mayor down there to tell them how to make their cities like Newark. Next up........maybe Jones can round up the mayor of Baltimore to lecture on keeping urban businesses safe and prosperous, followed by Rahm Emanuel lecturing on how gun control keeps children safe from urban gangs.
