You nailed it, Liz. Moore is a man of great character and strength, and I’ve heard a joke or two he told. He didn’t have room to let his “sense of humor” come out.
If Moore is fire and brimstone, Trump knows how to mix it up: serious business, but also some entertainment — a master of television.
His opponent's campaign manager said Mondale lost when Ronald Reagan responded about being too
old to run: "I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience."
Yeah, Reagan’s line was one of the greatest in history. Humor wins because it humanizes the joke teller. It makes you believe “he’s one of us, a regular guy.”
An effective Trump line: “Because you’d be in jail...”
And my favorite line in the 2016 campaign at Trump’s Miami rally (and delivered with perfect timing and tone):
“Welcome.... to all you..... Deplorrrrables”
What happens to me, I like Bill O’Reilly and his “No spin news” a lot. In comparison, Rush monologues are becoming too long and passionate to be bearable.
I don’t listen much but reading the transcripts, Rush can only finish every other sentence.
If they manage to take Trump out, I think it’s game on for CW2 because it will be the beginning of the end. This is our last slim chance. After this, it’s all gone. We’ll be some sort of socialist/communist State who’s enemy #1 is us.
