NFL Goes All In as Platform for Leftism With Social Justice Warrior Workshop
Moonbattery ^ | Dec. 13, 2017 | Moonbattery

Posted on 12/13/2017 11:43:17 AM PST by Morgana

The NFL is no longer primarily about football. It is committed to advancing cultural Marxism first and foremost. The league has agreed to dump $89 million into leftist advocacy. It just extended the contract of Roger Goodell for up to $40 million per year, even though he has crippled the fan base with his support for Black Lives Matter protests during the national anthem. Then there is this:

As its players continue to protest the National Anthem, the National Football League (NFL) announced it will host an “Advocacy in Sport Workshop” at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, to educate athletes on how to “develop and implement effective advocacy platforms that positively impact society.”

In conjunction with the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) and Morehouse, the February 21-23, 2018 workshop will teach student athletes how to turn sports into “a powerful platform for advocacy,” NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent said…

In case it wasn’t already obvious that the main emphasis will be on blackness as a political cause, Vincent barks:

“Sport has been an international venue for social change since before Jesse Owens swept the 1936 Olympics and opened the world’s eyes to the image of justice and equality.”

These days when leftists say “justice and equality,” they mean moonbattery: Affirmative Action, welfare, anti-Caucasian and anti-American rhetoric, funneling money into ultra-left activism, selectively refraining from enforcing the law, letting black felons out of prison, et cetera.

RISE wants to subvert sports to “improve race relations and drive social progress.” This means exactly the same thing.

As for Morehouse College, it is what they call a “historically African American” institution, meaning the pale of complexion are not advised to let the sun set on them on campus. Morehouse professor David Dennis Jr. has shouted that Tom Brady supporting the President is more of a threat to the country than theatrical displays of disrespect during the Star-Spangled Banner. Marc Lamont Hill, another Morehouse professor, denounced blacks who met with Trump as “mediocre negroes.” Sure, these militants will improve race relations.

Would you support MSNBC, Black Lives Matter, the Democrat Party, or the ACLU? Then don’t support the NFL; is serves the same purpose.

The NFL committed suicide this year. By next year, no one will miss them.

Just remember NFL Fans - every time you buy a ticket, receive an NFL coffee mug, or get a jersey - YOU are paying for this.

I’d rather eat a*s cheese than ever watch the NFL again.

It needs to be banned and all players sent to North Korea or Syria where their Marxism will go down well

Freepers need to be more understanding—the players and league executives are suffering from a contagious and virulent form of traumatic brain injury!

They won’t realize their error until the season ticket renewals are returned - sometime in June. I suspect they will find fewer spectators willing to be insulted for their $150 admission.

Watching the NFL and mostly the Super Bowl used to be fun!

You know when it started to go downhill for me? That year What’s Her Name showed her ass...eeerr I mean her tee taa’s during half time. After that, there has been something very wrong, now this.

They need to just stop. Really. Stop.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people don’t mind being figuratively spat on by the person they are giving their money to.

According to their website, “the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) is an unprecedented alliance of professional sports leagues, organizations, athletes, educators, media networks and sports professionals using sports to bring people together to promote understanding, respect and equality. Through public awareness campaigns and educational programming, RISE aims to improve race relations.”

What about women’s sports, what about youth sports, what about gay and transgender athletes in sports, what about adaptive sports.....I could do this all day.

But their only concern identified as race relations. At that point by their own words they are no longer trying to promote understanding, respect, and equality. They have become a short sided activist group using lies to create a blanket of trust for their efforts to re-educate people, many of them kids, and race relation failures in this country of which they will probably not identify themselves as a major part of it. So what are they doing any different than taking a knee and not accomplishing anything else? They are actively seeking out people to take a knee with them. And that doesn’t get it improved.

You do not promote understanding, respect and equality by denigrating a person's national symbol and heritage.

What is so hard to understand about that.

Next year? Hell I’ve already forgotten why I even had that crap on the tv.
Now when I see it on someone’s tv it’s just stupid. That has even flowed over to college and high school. What a colossal waste of time and money.

Well, here in Houston, we just got a rugby team. Guess I’ll check them out. And, yeah, I’m trying to sell my PSL’s for the Texans.

Another example of the inmates (players) taking over the asylum (NFL). Surveys now reveal that this NFL operation has the lowest approval of any major sporting operation. Items like this will do nothing to improve that rating.

I have not watched an NFL game in about 2 years, I think. The Tampa Bay Bucs, in their miserable years of straight losses, had a joke about a season ticket owner leaving 2 tickets on his windshield and returning to find 4. With sub $10 tickets appearing to be easily available at many stadiums yet they still have many empty seats, this is a non-joke to the NFL BUT still they continue in the same path!

What is that famous truism about insanity; doing the same thing but expecting different results? Hello NFL!
