Worlds First Anti-Ageing Drug Could See Humans Live To 120
"Although it might seem like science fiction, researchers have already proven that the diabetes drug metformin extends the life of animals, and the Food and Drug Administration in the US has now given the go ahead for a trial to see if the same effects can be replicated in humans."
I convinced my doctor to increase my Metformin dose.
” The real cure is to get rid of sugar in its many forms from one’s diet.”
...100% agree!
LOL, that would help.
Reduce carbs period if you want to lower A1c. Side effect is you lose weight too.
Seriously?
Is that true?
It’s an expensive drug that Metformin.
Coming to a pharmacy near you in 15 years.
Baldheaded mouse?
And big research and pharma certainly don’t want people using much cheaper and safer natural stuff to prevent and cure. After all. once a person is taking one drug, they will need at least one other drug to counteract the side effects of the 1st one, forever and ever$$$$$$.

Absolutely-growing up in a family of health freaks on a ranch, we kids thought we were deprived because there was no cold sugary cereal in pretty boxes, or any other processed food-only fresh veggies and meat, no candy purchased in town and only honey (we kept bees) and raw sugar available for sweetener and use in baked goods. No prescription drugs, either-most of us still live that way-no one is overweight, we are all working at active jobs and healthy. Chemical and chemically altered substances are poison, I think-they were never meant for the human body—but that is just my opinion...
Viagra (originally called Sildenafil) was discovered accidentally.
"It was initially studied for use in hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (a symptom of ischaemic heart disease"
I got it confused with Rogaine, the hair-loss treatment, which was also discovered accidentally, whilst researching what was originally intended to be an anti-hypertension medication called Minoxidil.
That doesn't make sense. There are only 3-4 Rx drugs currently prescribed for Alzheimer's and they aren't all that expensive.
And don’t forget Silly Putty.
Well played, sir, well played.
Although you are showing your age :)
Carbs as well. Unfortunately that includes ethyl alcohol.
LOL!
You are probably right-my guy stays fit-he knows I won’t keep a fat old man...
Just saw this:
Sorry, a poor attempt at humor. I don't want to even imply that Alzheimer's is funny...Please have a nice day.
They found a cure for hepatitis C. It only costs about $80,000.
