In a rational tort claim of this nature, they would first have to show the school had a duty to stop the protest. IMO they did not. Furthermore, once this nitwit left the school grounds, on her own accord, she was on her own. My last comment: too bad she did not terminate.

However, many of these protests were encouraged by the staff and faculty of the schools involved (up to and including giving students academic credits for protesting) and it wouldn’t surprise me if this was the case at UCSD. That means they get some responsibility.
