The Left didn't used to have a problem with "Dixie." In fact, in the early to mid-1960's "Radio Free Dixie" was beamed to the American South from Cuba and aimed to arouse "oppressed" blacks to rise up and fight for their "freedom." You can listen to an air check from Radio Free Dixie here. The broadcast is probably from the late summer or fall of 1965.
