I am moving to Texas from Virginia in the future and I swore that I will not bring the same BS that VA is becoming.
Im a New Yorker, but think I would enjoy Texas
My bio:
Then: I’m from NY, Long Island to be exact. Born and raised. Been in the Atlanta area for 22 years.
Now: Pickup truck( my second), Bronco, Polaris, 2 gun safes-full, ammo, reloading machines, deer hunt, fish, want more property so I can have a mini-farm to raise my own food, proudly exercise my 2nd Amendment right-every day.
When I see people from NY, I cringe, hoping that I wasn’t like that when I first moved South. I’ve completely embraced what it is to live in the South, as far as I’m concerned, and loathe having to fly into Laguardia, even if it is to see my family. I like doing for myself.
But, the northern suburbs of Atlanta are changing the landscape of the state. It isn’t a walk in the park for the Right, anymore. Much like it is in Virginia for you. The Western part of the state votes one way, while NorVa and Richmond vote another.
Good luck in Texas!!!
I wonder if Texas is not changing/going to change due to all the illegal immigration...I read that TX is number 2 in terms of state spending on illegals...to the tune of nearly $9 BILLION/yr (California is first at nearly $22 Billion/yr).
So how much is TX impacted/going to be impacted by the huge number of illegals who are already there in addition to those who sneak in?
